Playoff Procedures:
The first place team after regular season earns double-elimination in playoffs, has home team advantage, and is assured a rebate of not less than $800 per player. If the team wins its first playoff game, it is assured a minimum rebate of $2,500 per player and goes directly to the championship game.
The second place team also earns double-elimination safety. In addition, the rebate minimums are just like those of the first place team. The only difference is that the second place team is the visitor in the Top Seed Preliminary Playoff game.
The third place team season receives only single-elimination, but is also assured a minimum $800 rebate per player. The team must win two games before the minimum rebate increases to $2,500 per player. Three victories equals a championship.
Fourth and fifth place teams earn wildcard invitations to the playoffs. Their minimum rebates are $500 per player, increasing with a win to $800. It takes two wins to raise the mimimum rebate to $2,500. Accordingly, a fourth or fifth place team must win four consecutive playoff games in order to capture the championship and claim a $4,800 rebate per player.
Sixth and seventh place finishers sit in the stands for the playoffs, but even these teams receive a $100 rebate per player in a tournament where everyone is a winner.
Playoff Games:
All games are played at Field 1.
